REMARKS:

Rose water ewers of this type are extremely rare, and this particular piece may have been a special commission given as a gift. The ewer was used as libations in hand washing prior dinners and after. The massive size of this ewer would have been used by a servant for large grouping of house guests. Only one other example have I seen, where a thermolumination test was done. The thermolumination test revealed it to be of old construction c17-18th century.

Photos of the other ewer would be given upon request with the test and its results.
